eyes like roses

paintings by fumi nakamura

I cannot see what flowers are at my feet,

Nor what soft incense hangs upon the boughs,
But, in embalmed darkness, guess each sweet
Wherewith the seasonable month endows
The grass, the thicket, and
the fruit-tree wild;
White hawthorn, and the pastoral eglantine;
Fast fading violets cover'd up in leaves;
And mid-May's eldest child,
The coming musk-rose, full of dewy wine,
The
murmurous haunt of flies on summer eves.

    Yes, Laura Groves {Blue Roses} is lovely! And, in my opinion, she makes lovely music as well. You should definitely check out her music. :)

  7. A Poem For Char, As Promised:

    The air whipped 'round the old pine trees
    Their needle's shiver, stem-tips freeze,
    Until the green is properly teased
    From slender slowly-silvered leaves.

    The wind had travelled many-a-year
    To ports and harbours far and near
    It filled white sails from there to here,
    And set each pine bough's ice veneer.
